During my school years, my voice was a reason for my being bullied and teased, but also complimented for its unique timbre and distinctiveness. My little brother and I would watch cartoons and I’d mimic the characters wondering what it would be like for me to bring them to life. We’d re-enact commercials in jest, with all sorts of different voices. As my performance career developed, I was encouraged by mentors and colleagues to explore voiceover… and I’m so glad I did.
VO training has taught me how to integrate my acting techniques with my voice, enabling me to more impactfully engage and connect with my audiences. Within a very short time, I’ve completed a variety of animation, commercial, K12 eLearning, and audiobook projects.
